Om Puri,one of the most immortal actors in India,dies of a heart attack



Om Puri,one of the most immortal actors in India,pass away this morning at his home in Mumbai.He was 66 .His furneral will be steer at 6 pm.

He starred in films like ‘Ardh Satya’ and ‘Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron

In his remarkable career,Om Puri was awarded padma shri in 1990,national Film award for best actor in 1984 for film  Ardh satya, and a filmfare award for best supporting actor for  Aakrosh in 1981.

Not only in Bollywood he was remarkable,he was also appeared in  British, and American films like

The Hundred-Foot Journey

City of Joy

Charlie Wilson’s War

And ofcourse Gandhi(1982)


Om puri,was born in Ambala,Haryana,His fathar was a railway officer.Om puri studied in famous Film and Television Institute of India that is in Pune.In 1973 Om Puri was in the class of National School of Drama,where Naseeruddin Shah was also a student.

Om Puri debuted in the 1976 Marathi film Ghashiram Kotwal, based on a play by Vijay Tendulkar.

He played a notable cameo in Richard Attenborough’s Gandhi In the 1990s, he ventured into commercial films that catered to the masses rather than critics.
